Hey mt,
Does ANYONE have any information about the old BRP turbo kit that was around in the early 00's?
I know the kit wasn't around for very long, as I figure many people were kind of shy to buy a kit from a new company when you've got companies such as FM. I've been trolling the forums everywhere as well as googling the hell out of it and have come up with absolutely nothing. I'm just trying to get some more info as to what exactly came with the kit because I purchased my car with the kit already on it.
I figure I won't get many responses but thanks in advance anyways

In all honesty, I'm not sure you NEED to know what came with the kit. If it has a manifold, turbo, downpipe, and some sort of intercooler setup going to the throttle body, all you need is MS and bigger injectors. More or less. AKA: the turbo kit is not the important part, ebay can do that just fine until their manifolds crack. The fueling is the important part. Pictures of your engine bay would help us out a lot.
Is there something wrong with your setup? Or do you just want more information on it?

looks like a mess of a system. I still say MS to get rid of the blow through maf, and is that a 5th injector?

I've got a W/A IC (awful, I know), 5th injector, Walbro 255 BUT am still running on stock injectors I'm currently running a JR Powercard right now on a moderate/safe 7.5psi tune until I can finally upgrade to one of the DIYPNP's compatible with the NB alternator while upgrading to 550s, better flowing radiator, and a TDR FMIC at the least.
I'm looking for information in general, but I've also got a problem. I've got a crack in my exhaust manifold and would love to find out if there's a similar one out there or if I'm going to need to pull it off and get a custom one built. I may just use this as an opportunity to finally upgrade and freshen up the 7+ year old kit.

I've tried their old site- no longer up. And just tried archive.org and had no luck. Never heard of that site before. The only info I can get on anything BRP related is with their much more popular superchargers.

I'm just mainly concerned with what I need to do to deal with my manifold now though. Puts such in a crimp in my plans....

what was the old site?
The manifold is almost guaranteed not to have a compatible alternative, the deal is basically the manifold is what everything else is based off of. So, the manifold determines where the turbo will sit, then the downpipe is built to mate to the turbo as it sits, and then the intake (usually called hotside pre-intercooler) side as well, to a point.
So, if you got a different manifold, you will need to potentially modify or get a new downpipe, and modify the intake plumbing to fit. Honestly, not a huge deal, the water/oil lines for your turbo may or may not fit.
Basically looking at redoing most of it.
Or, you could have the manifold welded. Technically when welding Cast iron you need to heat it up to the point just before black radiation and weld it at temp to do it "right," but, you can just weld it anyway. Should hold up for a while..

Also, you don't really have to "tune" for mileage. Turbo's are awesome in that, when crusing, you don't boost, and when you don't boost, you don't need extra fuel. Simple concept, works pretty well.

And you're right. I understand all of that. I've just seen a few knock offs of some of the manifolds out on the market currently as well as some others that are somewhat similar to mine, so that's why I bring up that. Lol. But I'm really trying to avoid completely changing up the whole system. I'm about 99% sure it's got an FM 2.5" DP on it now. I know that things may not necessarily go my way but it's certainly nice to wish.... Lol
I was thinking about having the manifold welded, but I really need something that will withstand some abuse and last for longer than a year. I plan on autocrossing this, tracking it, and modding to make around 220-230 at the wheels.

If you have an FM 2.5 in downpipe, um, you're probably in super huge luck, then. Get an FM manifold, and freaking profit.
I happen to have a 2.5 fm downpipe back in the shop, I'm on the road right now, but take some pics, I can show you what you're looking for.

You could get lucky on welding the cast manifold back up. It worked pretty well on my Audi 5k, but I was too cheap to buy a new one on that one, didn't have a choice.
If not, ARtech or Turbo Tim might be able to make a tubular manifold that lets you retain everything for the most part.
