Default MKTURBO UP AND RUNNING, PLANNING NEXT STEPS

So I've been plugging away slowly since March on my MKTurbo kit and finally made it to the dyno last week and got a solid tune. When they say port the waste gate they really mean "hog that thing out" had to take a break on dyno day and do it right. My bad.

Oh my car is a 95 with stock everything inside the engine. Its going to see very little street time, more Time Trial track time and autocross.

We tuned conservatively up to where there was a little knock and backed off. By we I mean my guy with the dyno. running about 10 for boost, still creeping a bit at the top end. The limiter seemed to be mildly crappy 91 octane. One of the plans for the future is going to e85...cuz it smells good and makes more zoomies So my question is, is anyone running e85 on the MK kit? are the injectors up to it? Are you running stock fuel pump and pressure regulator?

Don't ask internet, ask your tuner. He can look at a log, see fuel utilization, put in simple math to estimate E85 and answer this much more reliably. If your tuner can't do this, you need a new tuner before you need E85.

Agree, Scott(tuner) will be the # one source for information. I was mostly curious to see anyone had some data points/experience with this system and e85.

For 1.8 @ 250hp E85 I used the following.
Injectors 1050cc
Flyin Miata Big Flex fuel kit
Trackspeed fuel pump rewire

This was with FM Turbo. It's not dependent on turbo, but more HP requirement which will define fuel needed with fuel chosen.

E85 will work fine in the injectors. You will still be limited to limits of the stock rods, should be able to hit that with a bit less boost and the E85.

Thanks Ian and Lars. Good info, that will help in planning the next steps. I probably wont be doing anything "this season" but need to plan and maybe accumulate a few parts.
