I am about to mount my new DP (with flex). However, the stock dp has a clamp that holds it to the tranny. What have you guys done with that when you mounted tony`s dp?

 

Fabricated a new clamp:




Note- the bracket in that picture was just the template made from 20ga sheet. The actual piece I built from 1/8" hot-rolled bar. The sleeve clamp holds the upper and lower pieces of the DP together. The U-clamp is attached only to the lower piece, its sole job is to give the bracket something to attach to.

 

I removed it and threw a v-band on the two halves.
