True, but a supercharger or ITB's is a lot more costly then the Greddy kit isn't it? I am just looking for more punch, reliability, and something that I can enjoy daily.

Personally if i were you, i would go for a used greddy kit w/ intercooler. Set it at 6 psi and forget it, **** even get a nice used bipes and get more rwtq off the line.

You will want to upgrade, that im sure of.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Just a couple of things to note:

Somehow, going FI is sometimes mutually exclusive with reliable. I am just kidding as many of us run reliable turbos, but things just have a way of popping up somehow. Might have something to do with the fact, that few, if any, have stuck with the stock GReddy kit for long.

Not trying to discourage you. The GReddy is a really low cost entry to boost that get a lot of guys started in FI who don't have the ~$3K to plunk down on a kit from FM/Begi. It's a great learning experience as well as you upgrade. Frustrating at times, but definitely worth it and educational.

I know you say that you'll be happy with a reliable 20-30hp, but again, I think a lot of people started off saying that and sooner rather than later that 20-30 just seems not enough real fast.

The stock Greddy kit isnt that great as is....
By adding a bipes timing unit and an intercooler setup and 2.5" exhaust you will get MUCH better torque down low and better off boost drivability and reliablity...............oh yeah AND MORE POWER MUWAHAHAHAHAH

Content with 30 hp increase? Not likely.

Talk to us a few weeks after you've been driving a 146 BHP Miata... you'll want more.
