Was told $1000 for both cams weld and regrind to suit my boost and application from a well known shop im thinking maybe no to cams

With how easy cams are to replace on our engines I'd focus more on tapping out the flow capacity of the stock top end and manifolds before worrying about cams. You'll need an IM before you'll need cams tbh.

Given my inlet manifold to a head porter to empty out and make more efficent chose this over a begi inlet due to cost and stealth factor

what year is your car again? and intake mani (if different from year of car)

most gut/port jobs on stock Manifolds have shown very little gains around here. I hope yours will be better than all the ones done so far, and that this gut/port job you're doing is really cheap or you're wasting your money

Well the port job is getting done by a friends dad who has been at it for 35 years he is ace done a motor for me before
Full porting with port matching polishing exhaust and full vcis delete and hollowing out mani $350

My car is a 99 nb

So its cheap enough

OP ill give you a hookup close to you to the go to guy in Oz for BP cams, PM me, great prices, loads of experience and like 100 BP profiles to choose from.

An avo turbo will max out at around 18psi, that's the gt28.... How much power do you want to make?

Where are you in Melbourne ?

Have a look at my build thread here or on mx5 car talk... I should be able to help if you want it

hey guys still collecting bits went for a set of Kelford cams and super miata balancer iam waiting for trackspeed to send me my ecu went with a aem unit ordered it 8 weeks ago but i believe they are redesigning the alternator controls at the moment


i am about to order a Begi inlet manifold and cold air box

the need step is give all my parts to engine builder i just need a fuel pressure reg and i can put it all together i will not be using the avo down pipe i will be getting adivorced system made and the cold side to throttle of the avo kit wil be different

now 18psi is a little low i was hoping out to the 2871 21psi max then in 12 months trying something like a 3071 with a custom manifold

my goal is 220rwkw-250rwkw at 21psi and everything i read and do leads me to believe i should over shoot this iam also going to dabble with e85 flex fuel as soon as motor is run in

Too much but i havent driven 250kw 1200kg car

engine is at my engine builders silly me ordered a hydro cam on a solid head so getting that fixed just waiting on my ecu from ordered it in july ?

Default this is as it sits now

OK UPDATE

its gotten a little out of hand
motor is now built and in i have bought everything on my list and some

only thing left now is inter cooler piping and tune

my tuner and i think 10psi is a safe pressure to run the motor in on for about 1500km's what do you guys think
