Hi all. I might be shopping for a budget-priced EBC soon. Any suggestions of a brand/model? If it matters, this is for my MSM with the stock ECU. Mods are the FM intake; custom downpipe / big exhaust (both by TurboTim); I'm estimating it's at 200+ rwhp.

 

Megasquirt would be the best budget solution should you be able to build it. It can control fuel/spark/and boost.

This would eliminate the need for you to spend 100+ on bipes/MSD.. 100+ on a AFPR.. 200 on an EBC

 

Look in the member's discount section in the classifieds. The deal for the Tullos EBC may still be in there. There may also still be the deal for the AEM Truboost in there.

 

As far as I'm concerned there are two choices for controlling boost electronically, using your EMS or the old school HKS EVC EZ. Everything else is overpriced overcomplicated crap.

 

I am using an EBC from HDI, I got mine for $170. Hi/Lo boost setting.. pretty simple.. and if you are using EMB, there is an Aux wire for Boost input.

 

A megasquirt would be a cheaper EBC than just about any other, including the Tullos, oh, and it can control your fuel and spark as well!
