Spool/Rpms?
Ahh just curious about everyones spool times.
Im just running the Greddy kit w/ intercooler, everything else stock.. Im seeing full boost at.. 4-5k rpms, and it starts boosting at 3.5kish.
That seems pretty high, and i know i really need a new exhaust, as well as bigger injectors so i can set the wastegate to higher boost/faster spool.
But, what do some of you guys with real setups spool at?
I really just want to know what i can look forward to, i really want my turbo to spool faster more than anything.

Looking at a datalog of my greddy and stock exhaust, I'm seeing boost starting at 3600 and reaching 10 psi at 5600.
Gonna go datalog a few wot 3rd gear pulls, see what happens.
<EDIT>
OK, 3rd gear pull
0 Vac @ 1900
1 psi @ 2100
10 psi @ 5000
11-12 psi @ 5100-5500
10 psi 5500-redline
The highest peak boost I've seen in the past is 10.4 psi. Today's log shows a peak of 12.2 psi at 5448 rpm. I can only attribute that to the new intake tube. Log below. Gotta love the clutch slip.

Sure about the numbers, not sure about throttle position on that run. Still being cautious with the new set up, but bout to get out and hammer on it... for the couple of minutes I get before the clutch heats up :gay:

I'm gonna upgrade my downpipe soon, looking at the new one I'd reckon spool up should be a LOT faster than with the frankly tiny GReddy one...

Looks like I'm on par with others running the greddy dp. Looks like I'm way off base with those running the Tony/RM dp.
Just also wanted to mention that the datalog shows things that the boost gauge doesn't. I didn't realize I was at positive pressure so early, and I didn't see the 11-12 psi peak. I saw 10 psi from 5-7k on the gauge.
