Hey guys, I recently blew my NB 1.6 running a piggyback MS2 and a TD04L-13T turbo. Back then I was on some cheap eBay 550cc injectors and stock motor, but now I’ve upgraded to new Bosch 14EV 550cc injectors, a Walbro 255 fuel pump, forged rods, and a new clutch. I did see up to 17 psi before it went, but I’m not sure what power it was making. For the rebuild, I’m aiming for around 250whp — what turbo would you recommend on this platform to reliably reach that goal because I don’t think this one will work. Also need to be on same flanges as the TD because currently I don’t have the time to change the manifold and downpipe.

 

VF39. What the STI used instead of the TD04, is where I would first look. Bolt-in compatible.

Utilize boost cut. Protect your engine.
