Third 323 Gtx Turbo Pvc valve broken, Whats up with that?

My Pvc valve just borke again...
My third 323 gtx turbo one now..
Could my crankcase be pressurized from bad rings?
Or.....Am I just unlucky.
Has this happened to anyone else with a fram pvc valve?

Bryce 08-02-2007 09:36 PM

I bought one 323 Gtx pcv valve from Oreillys only to find that the OEM one sealed much better than it. Took it back today and managed to get hit in the parking lot.

Go buy one from Mazda. (or people will back into you) Aftermarket Pcv valves are notorious for being crap.

Braineack 08-02-2007 09:37 PM

how is it broke?

dont buy cheapo parts from advanced auto, buy the factory part.

Slidin'Miata916 08-02-2007 09:56 PM

Ok will do tommorrow.
Well, its like, a two piece. It snaps together. I just found that out
And it keeps, Uh..
Unsnapping? Lol.

:dunno: It hates you

Slidin'Miata916 08-02-2007 10:09 PM

Lol.
Are the ones from the dealership Onepeice?

tronik 08-02-2007 10:17 PM

d'oh, I got my 323gtx PCV from one of those online parts superstores..haven't put it on yet.
Oh well, guess I will see if the stealership has one. Something told me that the online part was generic anyway, probably the same PCV they would have sold me for a miata.

pinkfluffies 08-02-2007 10:39 PM

doesnt tommy at finishline / rosenthal sell these for reasonable money?

Splitime 08-02-2007 10:44 PM

No pcv valve ftw :p. Simplifies things.

Pitlab77 08-02-2007 11:29 PM

There are some that say that the GTX part number is the same but the part is not always the same. Some people feel that sometimes you get a GTX part other times you get a Miata/Protege Pcv

www.mazdastuff.com try them

Braineack 08-03-2007 08:43 AM

FM sells it for a nomial fee: http://www.flyinmiata.com/index.php?...umber=04-96005

reckless_abandon 08-03-2007 04:37 PM

what year of 323 is this pcv valve from?

Bryce 08-05-2007 02:29 AM

85 to 89 323 GTX. The one with the DOHC B6T engine.

Slidin'Miata916 08-08-2007 12:22 AM

Quick Question.
I called my friend to buy me a pvc valve becuase I have no money. And he said they ran out of the gtx ones so he just got a regular miata one.
Wow, this one doesnt look like its ognna break like the other one. Will i be fine with this one for now?

cjernigan 08-08-2007 12:36 AM

The on you want has a metal base. As in no shitty two piece composition.

Slidin'Miata916 08-08-2007 12:39 AM

Oh yea, For sure. Im gonna get the 323 turbo one from th edearl, but I mean, will the miata replacemnt one work for now?Or will i get blow by or something

curly 08-08-2007 01:08 AM

it'll work fine for now, you'll just once again run the risk of destroying it. but then again the reason you replace it, just like a 1.6 diff, is because there is a risk of it being damaged, not because its guaranteed.

Slidin'Miata916 08-08-2007 01:16 AM

Ok. For sure then. I thought I was gonna get blow by or something with it. But ill be replacing it soon :D

CRAP i just bought a 323GTX PCV but i bought 1990.... is this a problem?? it was only $3.39 at autozone!!

Bryce 02-26-2008 01:15 AM

You should take it back anyways because you got it from autozone and not the dealer. Buy one from the dealer.
