Time to play!
I've had my standard Greddy kit installed in the car for a little while, it has a FMIC and a MBC on it (will probably replace as appears to spike)
I've just got a reasonable deal on a Emerald ECU, so that will go on, will fit some bigger injectors (looking for 440cc)
The car has a 6 speed box, 1.8 rear end, also handles nice on Gaz suspension, I have 1.8 brakes but want to go bigger if funds allow.
Anything I've missed or need?
I've had a read through the basic's and think I have covered most things.
I can't afford to spend big bucks on this car though, the TVR engine is currently being rebuilt and the wallet is hurting already.

Thanks, I like the Sagaris, I looked after a friends for a while, it turns even more heads than the Tuscan but I like being able to take the roof off, also the Tuscan seems slightly quicker, tbh its the one car I've owned which I can't imagine selling, a friend lent me his F355 last month, I expect to want one badly after, but still prefer my car.
Unfortunately its parked outside in the rain under a cover with no engine at the moment, hoping to get it back together soon
So anything I need to consider for the Mazda?

Past that, if the ECU allows you to get rid of the AFM, then do that and go to MAP based tuning. You might also want an intake air temp sensor (once again if your ECU has input for that). A variable TPS also helps a bunch, and there are a few write ups in the ECU section on how to do that. Oh yes, you should also get a wideband oxygen sensor.

Ok quick update, I have the ECU home now, need to set about connecting it up, fortunately there is already a made up wiring harness but some of the functions have been left off so will and to what is there. Want to connect the change lights as I find them very handy in the TVR when on track. It has input for intake temps so wondering where is best to place the sensor?
Will set about making a dual feed rail over the weekend.
One question I have is about filter location, thinking about having the filter in the front nose cone, my previous TVR had the filter there and with a small amount of ducting the air temps should be lower than in the engine bay?
Will be trying to get the injectors pretty soon too.

Inlet air temperature sender should be somewhere just before the throttle body. Between there and the intercooler. If you can place the air filter somewhere behind the bumper that would be great, but many aren't able to do that. Often it ends up in the engine compartment, which isn't ideal.

what are you goals? as mentioned before, you'll probably be after a new fuel pump, if you're looking for more than 12psi i'd recommend larger injectors than 440cc or an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to bump the pressure up some. new wastegate is a big must i can't believe i've waited so long, i'm actually able to hit 18psi before 4k. other than a good flowing exhaust sounds like you're golden

The Emerald ECU is pretty similar to others like the AEM EMS, Adaptronic, MS etc etc.... http://www.emeraldm3d.com/em_k3.html
How much power are you wanting to get out of the car? remember if you're looking at 250bhp+ then you're getting into forged internals territory (and probably looking to upgrade the turbo as well tbh).
If you don't want to spend mega-bucks then with the ECU you have, some 440/550cc injectors, and intercooler you can cruise to 200Bhp (UK flywheel), but keep in mind the clutch will probably need replacing at some point and other things like a dual-feed fuel rail and coolant re-route will help matters if you shoot for more power.
The Emerald has a boost control function built into it.
1.8 brakes should be fine (unless you go for silly power), just fit some quality pads like the axxis ultimates etc.

How does the UK Bhp and US Bhp compare?
I'm not wanting to spend a fortune, thinking of the 550cc injectors, its running a intercooler already so will just see how well that's working for the moment before changing it.
Clutch and flywheel have been swapped for 1.8 version but will get a uprated plate at some stage too, as sad hoping to make a DIY dual feed rail soon, will get a Boost solenoid to allow the emerald to control the boost.
As for brakes, would really like something better, I did a track afternoon with the standard greddy kit and ran out of brakes pretty soon, I could probably get my hands on some cheap brembo and get a bigger disc and make up some brackets, but I want to try and keep the 15" wheels, I like the sleeper look with this car.
