Default Try to find a greddy manifold/downpipe/turbo or T25 based stuff?

Ok, so I've been dicking around for a while and since I have a DD now I'd really love to just boost what I have (134k mile 1.6 in decent condition) and build my other motor later and then go for some serious power.

I'm shooting for maybe? 220ish on this motor...but it'd be nice to have a bit of room.

Right now I have:
-Brianeack PnP MS
-AEM Wideband
-550cc Injectors (needing to be cleaned, and a rail to make dual feed with)
-Just picked up a 11x12x3 (CORE) IC, pipes/couplers, and a turboxs RFL bov (which...might make me want to kill myself)
-2.5" Test pipe and exhaust
-ACT XT Clutch and stuff
-Mazdacomp motor mounts
-Torsen...

So its not like I have anything left to replace except the motor...and maybe the diff mounts :(

So the question is how decent is the greddy turbo and manifold? I'd really like to find just those two pieces for cheap, do the DIY feed line replacement, and a new drain line and some sort of downpipe...BEGi? Racing Mazda is by far the cheapest though.

-How much do you think I could find those pieces for?
-Is it worth it? Or should I just try to find a T28, Begi Manifold/Downpipe and do the same thing?

i have greddy stuff and it's fine but you're better off starting off with other stuff, say a t2 manifold and downpipe. you have so many more options and possibilities.....want really fast spool, t25, a little more power a t28, even more power a gt2860rs, more a gt2871r.

I'd love to just get a GT2860rs, but this **** is strictly budget right now. I'm just wanting to finally get boosted. Which is why I was wondering about the greddy stuff.

I don't want the instant response from the GT2554r though, never been in a 2560 car though so I couldn't tell you what I expect from that.

Well it comes down to this:

You could find a used Greddy kit and go from there but are limited on choices, most if you ever look to change turbos.

You can look for an older FM/Begi kit, like I have, and a T25 off a Sr20 and have options for later. The problem with the FM/Begi and T25 is that it may cost more then the greddy depending on how long you wait.

You got a ride in my car. IMO, a Greddy turbo and mani with upgraded downpipe and intercooler is a more than acceptable solution. What did you think?

One of the Ebay suppliers makes a cast Greddy-style manifold. ETD also makes a direct Greddy replacement. Probably have to reclock the housings, but no big deal. Only reason to go with that positioning is pre-made downpipes are available.
