I can always add in the curve later. So ill just cut straight and see how it looks.

I was kinda goin for the Ryan Passey fender look but either will look good.

Cutting the fender is going to be a disaster, IMHO.

The paint actually almost looks untouched if there's no scratches or cracks in a PDR guy could probably get that out for cheap

it has that big scuff that you can see in the pic but it looks like it can be buffed out. The fender will need to be replaced due to fitment issues. I can only open the door partially due to contact between the door and fender, the gap between the hood and fender tapers dramatically as well. Its just too far gone (unless a PDR guy can fix bad fitment issues). This fender was damaged from when my wheel flew off anyways so its just time for a new one.

Plus, I'm not paying for the repair. My friend is. And lets just say he's not strapped for cash.

PDR can be cheap. Way cheaper than paint.

Yeah, a PDR guy is a couple hundred bucks, paint is (as you saw), a minimum of a grand. Doesn't hurt to ask one.

What shop are you going to? If you're not super concerned with price, then I recommend The Works Auto Body in Santa Clara.

White Oaks Collision center in Campbell. 5 stars on yelp. And they did good work on our jeep when my dad backed into a tree while offroading.

dropped the car off today. Apparently PDR couldn't fix it. Should have it back on friday.

A couple days ago I installed a new AEM 2.5" air filter. I had to move the power steering resi slight forward but it fits. Also whipped up a small little "heat shield". I plan on extending it back toward the brake resi.

New vs. Old

For some stupid reason I didnt take a pic of the filter mounted. But you get the idea.

And the heat shield. The reflective tape should do something? Mabe?

Also, there is a May 3rd trackday at thunderhill that I plan on going to. And its coming up soon. Full 5 mile course and only 2 run groups = tons of track time. Time to start getting the track prep underway.

I need to:
1. Figure out how to mount the splitter.
2. Possibly order new front pads.
3. Fix brake duct (one of mine tore)
4. Double check/change tune (don't want to grenade stock motor)
5. install Junk 2 TB
6. Install harness
7. install rear ARP studs
8. Oil change
9. coolant flush
10. Finish heat shield
11. install oil temp gauge

Fingers crossed and knock on wood the car makes it there and back. I may rent a trailer for peace of mind. But ill worry about that later. I just need to get the car ready first.

The black HT is even nicer if the windshield posts are done in the same color. Changes the whole car.

And not in a positive way.

I hated black-topped red cars even when it trendy and cool in the 90s -- doesn't look any better now.
