Alright few unanswered questions from the other page.. what exhaust you say.. Turbo exhaust is loud on a non turbo car. The turbo muffles it up so you can go with much more free flowing exhaust. That is why he said you should install a turbo and then have an exhaust machined/fitted to that.
Zoomin stop it, we'll get through to him and hold him with a gun in the corner and make him post them. or wait now that i think of it hes an army guy.. dammit a bad joke :( |

There really aren't that many people on this forum, anyway, so it would just be like you showing me the pics.

I helped install the first NC turbo kit from BEGi to go out to a customer here in Atlanta back in May. This is the thread I started on that experience:
https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/t35585/ IIRC it dyno'd at 265whp at 10psi on a DynoDynamics load dyno. The dyno operator did a quick conversion on the computer and it showed that a dynojet would have showed just over 300whp. Jason at EnthuzaCar made the exhaust for that car and sells the components regularly now, all you have to do is make the call to him, a great person to do business with. The parts are listed here: Miata NC - Enthuza Car, Inc |

No problem! Good luck with the project! It was definitely a job to say the least.

hah wow, clearly there is some truth to this UTARDED thing after looking over the link in your sig jacob. I cant believe this guy lasted for this long and is still here...
|
The guy is a fucking douche bag that troll's around all day trying to sell his pos stock parts, shitting on other peoples fs/ft threads, shitting on offers to his parts, spell checking everyone's posts, quoting forum rules, etc. He is basically a worthless sob that happens to own a pos turbo miata. He lives in his Mom's basement living on some disability check from the Army and selling parts off a miata he wrecked. The poor guy needs some vagina bad and no his Mom's doesn't count. Then he needs to enter the real world and get a job, so we're not paying for his shit. He's a drain on the economy and MT.net. When you read this zoomin...get off my pole or I'll fuck your life up.

Not reading his posts has improved my mt.net experience. That is EXACTLY what the "ignore" function is meant for. |
To the OP:
If you need help or local advice and stuff you can always check out Mobbius MiataMob and www.lvmoc.net Lots of locals in north NJ that can help ya. |
I think that the FM kit would give the highest power. They are located in Colorado and are almost 1 mile high.

I think the Bell kit and some rods would be the way to go. |
From what I have discussed with many people about the NC the problem with the NC motor is not that it is weak, its that you cant replace the ECU and the stock ECU has many different variables including as many as five fuel maps so chipping it is a no no unless you can figure out what it is really doing.
BEGI uses the Xede on the NC and as much as I hate the Xede it is currently the best system for the NC and BEGI has proven it on its NC kits. Unfortunately due to all the blown motors from the sniper mods the NC motor has gotten a bad wrap I dont think it deserves. |
There is a BEGI dealer in central NJ that also may be able to help on the install or fabrication of anything you may need, exhaust, etc. A lot of the miata mob people use them for BEGI parts.
Shore Motorsports |
MODESTflow is a good shop too, if you don't mind gays.

I am not a big fan of the '06 body style. But I tell ya, I'd live with it, for that power and driveability. It is awesome, fast, smooth, and a hell of a lot of fun to drive. Stephanie p.s. if you plan to go turbo, ditch the roadster exhaust. The turbo will work with it, but most people will replace it. |
Actually, the 5-speed in the NC is a raging piece of shit. The MX-5 guys burn through the 5-speeds and I know a of a guy who Johnwag deals with freqeuntly (thanks for the spare 6-speed, honey) who has quite a few to rebuild.
just like he NA and NB, the 5-speed is trash and the 6-speed is glory. |
Steph, Is it possible to get rid of the darn maf and replace it with a map sensor? I believe that is the main limitation to xede. Otherwise it sure is a great piggyback.
|
Sure, we can build the parts. But what are you going to use it with? The Xede has to have the MAF. Sniper has to have the MAF. We did play with making the Xede run a speed density system, but never finished it. It would not be OBD II compatible.

there is no way to make it measure map and convert the output to the stock ecu to an appropriate maf voltage or even use both?
Just trying to save people some headache, i've had some bad experience when trying to tune my xede unit and going into the 16s when the turbo sharply spools up and the maf lagging a bit. I hope its my head gasket and nothing more lol. I'm thinking by adding a map, the xede can reads pressure instead of load on the left and rpm on the bottom. That would be the best tuning solution IMO. |

But why would you want to? |
this thread went from dumb, to pointlessly stupid, to ecu talk from a tuner's perspective...wtf?
|
That's how we roll here.
So how about that Avatar movie. I haven't seen it yet, is it worth it? |
