I am wondering what options people have used to replace the turbo that comes with the MKturbo kit.

The threads came out of the aluminum compressor housing when I tried to tighten the clamp. The fins are also not looking great.

I have a 1994 with stock internals, but i would like to get into a couple tracks days a year. I was wondering what people are using or if there are better options that won’t break the bank.

I emailed Lars last week to inquire about a replacement but haven’t heard back yet. I figured I would see if anyone here has any suggestions.

I mean pretty much any eBay t3 with a Ford 5 bolt discharge housing will work. Maybe measure your compressor and turbine wheela and look for something similar.

 

Lars was able to get back to me via email and provided the current turbo he uses.

It came in the mail on Wednesday and there are some slight changes. It looks like the inlet is slightly bigger and I had to drill out the holes on the boost actuator.

Curious to see how it builds boost when I finally get it installed.
