Angry What can I do ?

Guess what my greddy manifold cracked.

I ordered the replacement manifold @ ETD racing 3 weeks ago. Next day I received a call saying this was a custom part and that there were 6 other manifolds to fabricate before mine, they told me to expect a 10-14 days delay. He comes the funny part: they called a week later saying that there was an incredible amount of order and that they had never seen this. In fact, the lady told me they've had 17 orders and that I wasn't either on top or at the bottom of the list. She told me to expect another 10 to 14 days of waiting. So, after 3 weeks, here is what they replied to me asking '' what's up ''.

Kevin,

I apologize for the delay with manifold orders. These are made to order and we fell behind after receiving numerous orders all at once. We are doing our best to get everyone, including you their manifold as soon as possible.

We appreciate your patience.

Has anybody heard about issues with K-tuned/M-tuned/ETD ? I feel like they're laughing at me, they are BSing me over the phone. Seriously it's been more than a month that my car is sleeping in the driveway i'm getting sick. What can I do ?

Isn't M-tuned IN Montreal? Why not just visit them?

OOOO and since you're from Montreal, go and answer my questions about coming to Montreal this weekend. It's in the BS section.

Wait or ask for a refund? ETD doesn't seem like a big operation, if they got a bunch of orders at once it can really clog up the works. I've been in their shoes, it's not fun. If you can't wait, ask for a refund, I'm sure they will give one to you. I would wait for it, though - made-to-order products are usually the ones people are happiest with.

I dont think is as bad as you think. If they were laughing at you why would they want to keep you in the loop of what's going on? it doesnt make sense to me that a seller of that magnitude will, no disrecpect, waste their time on one buyer, just for kick and giggles.

I'd say relax, and in the mean time look for alternatives, if you strongly think you're being mess with. I know two people on this forum that could fabricate a manifold for you. Take it easy.

I know what you guys mean, I Know it's nobody's fault but I've been told a date, then another, then .... nothing ! you pay for something you need asap and end up waiting, and waiting some more. I'm pretty sure if they had been honest with me in the beginning I would have refused to wait a month. But instead they went with the tell him 3 times to wait 2 weeks strategy and it worked so far. fml

It happens man. If you knew that you needed it soon you should have bought something that was already made. Never order a part that has to be made when you are on a deadline, too many things could go wrong.

Isn't there a way to temporarily patch up the manifold?? Sounds like they're doing their best, as a small operation, which is sometimes a little time-consuming...be patient brother!

Have you tried to have someone weld the manifold?

I searched a lot i couldn't find the same exact greddy manifold (it wasn't that great anyway) so I searched for a manifold with the same fitment than the greddy since i don't want to change downpipe.

The crack seems too nasty and it is hard to reach :/

I guess i'll have to wait, again

Tell them to give you a REAL date or your money back.
If they don't meet that date they need to compensate you for the run around.

I understand its very hard to run a small business, but in the end none of that **** matters. customer service is #1

Good stuff 18psi, I agree that it's difficult to run a small biz too. But please keep in mind to the man having the mani built, that these parts are custom built and take time. I know its aggravating as hell. But they did call you and inform you it would be late, maybe you could get a small discount for the overly lateness. Just a thought.

No matter what you buy there will be a wait. They don't owe you a refund unless they screwed up the original...but you can possibly contact ARTech too.

I would have contacted Abe from the get go.

Also, what does having to weld the crack and "hard to reach" have to do with each other.

If you want to drive the car around for the time being, take the manifold off and have it welded, put it back on the car and enjoy it until the ETD one is in hand.

And btw, waiting 1 month is candy. Try having your car on and off the road for 3 years bro.

I thought Abe/ARTech made a replacement greddy manifold already? I'd contact him.

I HATE it when you buy something with an idicated ship date then it gets pushed back whether it's their fault or not. THey shouldn't list a ship date if they aren't positive it should ship by then, or tell you it might get pushed back or something. What makes it all worse is when the seller takes days to return the email/call/whatever and only answers one question when you asked a half dozen, like they don't even bother reading the fuckign entire email. I'm spending all this money so I would appreciate some courtesy and honesty.

Anyway. I tell people they'll get their **** next year. If I get around to it this year they will be even happier.
