This came with the base greddy kit instead of the Vortech FPR. Could anyone tell me from the wiring diagram what it does and corrects?

I got no clue why its said to cut the ground wire from the Temp sensor than connect that ground to the module!!

 

it's convincing the ECU that the engine is cold to trick it into supplying more fuel
