Heading to Lincoln for the SCCA Pro Solo Finale and the Solo National Championships
Thanks Ben. I was wondering where you were that day. But it sounds like you had better things to do. The new tune feels great. The car really doesn't stop pulling like it used to. I have some more things in the works this winter so I should be down to see you all again before too long.
Oh. You'll see me then. My car is going in one of the walls of the BierGarten that will be at the end of that or a nearby row. Don't know which night, but we plan on doing the Big Wheel Pro Solo like last year again.
I have a full Torsen but that's sitting for the SAAB. Sorry, no extras for sale. If you toast something a loan can be worked out for the event.
Good luck, TNTUBA! I'll be out there this year in my STR S2000. Erik Strelnicks' RX7 is always a blast to watch locally so you definitely got some competition this year. STR is freaking HUGE again but my car is a lot more prepped than it was back in 2010. See ya around.

Good luck. I'll be there in RTR. My friend was the fastest miata in Ssm for the last few years and he's just got an m45 (#73). Your setup looks way better. I thought the weights were lower for Ssm? Isn't it 1600 + 200lbs per liter - 200 for using 275 or less rubber? I keep getting 1904lbs. What am I missing?
No the 2060ish number is after taking the 200 pound under 275 allowance because we cant fit anything bigger. And also remember that a stock engine is 1848cc add in over bores and such too.
Hopefully your week is better than mine has started. 1st run on practice course, blow up MSM. Luckily I did bring my street car too. Fender rolling, put Hoosiers on it and we are almost ready for Thursday, just down about 50hp

Coned away second in the Championships....and that was with a slipping clutch. Car still finished 4th and the only NON-FD RX-7 in the top 5. Back to work and starting to get ready for next year. It's only 353 days till the 2013 Pro Finale

Thanks Frank. The clutch is toast. But it didn't really hurt us on the West Course. There were only about 2 places to actually use any power. I'm guessing I have a rear main leak that killed the clutch. I hope we can keep getting faster. It's time for a Miata to win.

That East Course was a BLAST. Coming back through "Fast Eddie's Fun Center" and then hitting the Kamikaze....was TOO much fun. I hit cone 503 on my first run going a little over 75mph. It was still pretty cool when we were running and that cold cone curled the corner of the splitter. I had to "bend it back into shape" before Randall's first run. I know I'm partial but I think I have the second coolest sounding car in the class. Second only to Erik's 3 rotor FD.

Pay no attention to the bug on the camera and to the fat guy in the yellow shirt spraying water on the intercooler.
This is the run where Randall coned away 2nd.
