A fabulous race at the SCCA nationals in Portland yesterday. HooverSpeed turbo Miata beats 3 Ferrari Challenge cars in T1. Wasn't there, but was told that the race was epic. The Ferrari drivers (all related) were stunned.

The Ferrari drivers are a local family, not really experienced drivers. Dad just said to his 17,18 y/o kids: "hey, if you do well in school, we will all go racing".

I ran with them in their novice race. It was pretty fun watching them improve... going slow and gradually picking up the pace... lot's of restraint for young kids. They eventually got quite a bit faster that me.

At that age, I would have so wadded that car!

Well then, you've gotta come down and school me a little on t-miata's.

Also, how did this car run it in T1? I thought that was for production style corvettes, vipers, etc.?
