i want to pressure test my car to check for any rouge boost leaks.

I dont think I really have one but on other turbo cars ive owned this a basic thing to diagnose issues and just a good thing to do prior to trouble shooting any tuning issues. does anyone have a diy for building he parts to do this? I can do it myself pretty easy but thought someone might have a document or post handy that already did most of the work. if not, i'll make a thread pressure testing

Or if you have $30 laying around and are like me, and can never find the DIY parts at the local Home Depot:

Pipe cap the size of your Turbo inlet and an air hose quick disconnect fitting. Lower the outlet pressure to 5psi above what you run max.

^ That's exactly what I made. Couple bucks for a PVC cap and a couple bucks for a valvestem. Drill a hole in the pvc cap and pop the valvestem in place. Works perfect.

Don't forget a long air hose. Everytime I got close to finding my air leaks the damn compressor would kick on ad I couldn't hear crap! Lol. Had to get a 100' of hose and do the check far from the garage. Also, used some soapy water in a spray bottle that I keep around for finding tire leaks.

Shipping will cost same as the parts to build one yourself...

These are great to have, found out my EGR valve was leaking so now it sits blocked off until next emissions inspection comes around. Though I was a sissy and stuck mine post-turbo. Don't waste your time with schrader valves, quick disconnects work much better. Higher airflow volume and you can just plug it in and let it sit while you dig through the engine bay looking for leaks.

Pretty sure he was joking.. ;)

i wasnt joking, and I'm way too lazy to build one. although I do think I have a spare compressor hose fitting like that...acutally, it should be easy as hell now that i think of it.

Thanks for posting this, it reminded me I still hadn't tested mine. Found a huge leak through my BOV, and an intermittent one at the #4 injector. Hopefully they are the reason for my shitty lag.
