Yep what Hustler said. Right axle snapped like a twig, causing the spin. Auto Zone does not carry V8 swap Miata axles so I was done for the weekend.

No worries I'll have new axles for TWS.

What diff you running, caddy?
if you popped the stub you could have prob got a new full axle from vatozone, and just switched the stub over.

Yeah, his 2:40.460 result is way too fast for me...

http://www.nasatx.com/resultspoints/..._Sunday_TT.pdf

I ran more than eight seconds faster than that, on a day where it was 33F with 30mph winds in the morning? Maybe I'm confused. I guess we'll see.

No idea. He normally drives a Mazdaspeed3, I thought, and is usually pretty damn quick. But I'm not the one who brought up his awesome performance at the last event.

Yeah, the BMW 323 is a car he bought the day before for $3k and it was on street tires (real street tires).

Points, what points? ...there was no reason to add them up....

I can't read the pdf but he was probably upclassed to help get the min number of cars in the class for those guys to win tires...

Not sure who was talking about this weekend...usually he shows up in his mazdaspeed daily driver on some ancient hoosier scrubs and spanks everyone.

lol @ ****-talking a pro driver in a bone-stock, all-season-tired 318 and comparing it to a sorted, 130whp NB with the best suspension on Earth. Come on, dude.

You should be ****-talking CKearns who's 1.6 makes 20% less output than you that 4 seconds under you on a 3-mile track, one class down. That's the hot time.

All this ****-talking and bench racing is not much fun. Usually we all have a great time, let's keep it that way, please.

I was all excited about running against him in TTC, then my engine puked. Now I'm in D.

Who is **** talking? I'm not even the one that brought up Foss, you did. I was laughing because you acted like he ran some hot time at Cresson, when he clearly didn't. I was just pointing that out.

I agree, I'm just doing this for fun. It's pretty obvious that I haven't gone out and tried to build the ultimate TTE/TTD car. My only goal is to get some drive time while I am not instructing. A little time to focus on my own driving.

I think we should just start a TT RC (rental car) class. We'll all go rent the exact same car for the weekend and duke it out. Doesn't get any more even than that. Can we get all season tire contingency?
