Nasa @ tws 4/20
Weather is looking like it will be very nice. I think the car is running right again; I tested it at MSRH last weekend and it was solid. Looks like we'll have a number of TTD cars running, too. This should be fun.

Signed up for HPDE3. It's been many years since I've been on TWS. I really look forward to this, I hope my car is up to par.
Clockwise was my favorite at TWS, will not be as much fun without more power.

I'm out. Due to some shipping delays and mix ups, I do not have any of my brake stuff that I ordered to put on the car in time. I don't want to do a high-speed track on mystery brakes.
I'll be back in September, probably with Hoosiers or RRs. That should tip the scales in my favor, I think.
All in all, I had a great weekend driving and visiting with fellow drivers.

That was a lot of fun. It was good to finally meet some of you guys in person.
Its awesome to see so many people show up to an event like that. Back in PA we were lucky to have half that many people at an event. It meant more track time of course, but it also got boring after a while. This was much more fun, I can't wait to do it again.
Being my first time at TWS, or on any track in TX for that matter, I had a blast. I spent most of the time just getting used to the track and all of the changes I'd made to the car since last time I'd had it out, and even after the full day I still left a LOT of time out there, but that's OK.
The car didn't over heat and my only mechanical issue was a turbo stud that backed out, but luckily I found it sitting on top of the turbo and easily re-installed it.

Also had a great time meeting everyone this weekend!
While my car (and myself) are not particularly fast, I had a great time getting back on track for the first time in years.
Thanks again to Trey for convincing me to do it.
Look forward to future events!

Yeah, it sucks. Here's the best place to find the results right now: Index of /NASA_Texas_Region

I was embarrassingly slow, **** cars. No matter what I tried, I just couldn't seem to put that track together. My tires were old but still managed to touch 1.2Gs and I think that means the NT-01s are still "good". After failing to be a man, I'm really looking forward to not racing a car for quite a while.
I just watched keno's video, he was doing 135 @ S/F, I was doing 122, **** ***. That may have been the ~1 sec diff for me :-/

That's another reason I left TTB. I hit 117mph every time with 138whp. I blame your wing.
Oh, meant to ask if you wanted my data. It's Traqmate, so you'd have to grab the software if you don't already have it, but it is free and easy to use. I'm probably missing it, but I don't see a way to attach a file here; I'll attach it to a post at TJs.

Nice! Congrats man.
That makes me look... glacial. Good thing I don't base my manhood on my laptime like some people
What datalogging/laptiming setups are most of you guys using? Is Traqmate pretty common around these here parts?
It looks likes its time for me to jump on the datalogging bandwagon, and if I can get the same setup as some fast guys so that I can compare directly with them, that's an added plus.

Is that the yellow turbo car? Didn't really get a chance to talk to the owner about it. I thought he said it was tuned to around 190hp or something like that to get power/weight in class. If it was really only hitting 122mph on the straight it must have been hauling around the corners.
Did you get any data and are you willing to share?

Anyhow, my advice is to try the different systems out and see which one clicks for you. It would be hard to go wrong with a Traqmate if you found a good deal on a used one, though.
