Default NB Crankshaft Position Sensor won’t stay in place.

Last year Streets of Willow was repaved - except for one area that left a massive, jarring ingress/egress to old track. My CPS kept swiveling out of spec and cutting out. Trying to tighten it, I sheared the head off the bolt - so it was definitely tight…. I’m wondering if the smooth brass insert limits surface area for grip.

I’d prefer a mechanical lock - not hoping a bolt in aluminum keeps torsional clamping force.
5x Racing makes an NB CPS positioning bracket, but been out of stock for months. I’ll interpret that as a semi-legitimate, uncommon problem.

Any recommendations? loctite, safety wire, Star washers, JB Weld? Rough up the brass insert? Serrated bolt head?

Did the plastic become detached from the brass insert? There really isnt much mass to them, the m6 bolt should be plenty to hold it in place.

Replace sensor and bolt, and you should be fine. Dont create a problem where there isn’t one, one failure shouldn’t condemn a design.
