They already sell an amber version, all they need to sell is the dye to make that blue. Problem solved.

I'm sure there is already an off the shelf dye option. Food dye wont work because its water based. I just liked having blue and amber that were the same when I was doing a total fluid swap. I have 3 bottles of it sitting in my amazon cart for the next order I make.

Funny I searched google for DOT fluid dye and found a post from 2002 saying that ATE was going to stop importing it.

This is nothing but someone's lawyer shitting his pants over nothing and an equally stupid website propagating the rumor without doing anything even resembling a fact check. It's not illegal to sell non-DOT parts in the US - if it were, Hoosier and Goodyear couldn't sell non-DOT radial slicks and nobody could sell racing harnesses.

That's a stupid article and this is a stupid thread.

Well except for the fact that all the local places to get it have had their SuperBlue removed from their supply chains, and instructed the retailers to remove it from their shelves.

I have several liters on the shelf of both Superblue and Typ200 and no qualms about selling it. I haven't received any sort of notification from my distributor, probably because they specialize in racing parts and therefore don't have their head up their ***.

Looks too much like kool-aid, and kids might drink it.

It's not, but I'm going to assume selling a non-DOT part/product as DOT IS illegal.

If it didn't have DOT 4 on the bottle, there likely wouldn't be an issue.

This is probably going to be a case of everybody send the **** back and we'll send you new bottles that don't saw dot 4 on them since blue brake fluid doesnt meet the dot 4 standard.

Bimmerworld, turner motorsports, and pelican parts have all put it as not available.

Probably merit to that. It'll be back in fresh cans in <90 days, I bet.

I was up at Sebring Race Track on Saturday and they had plenty on the shelves.
