Interesting! Good find Emilio.

From the website:
"For the majority of real flows Repix will be noticeably greater than 1, and the calculations are very inaccurate.
Fortunately, for reasons far beyond what can be explained here, the calculation errors behave in such a way that, apart from small details, the flow in the video at a moderate Re might look quite similar to how the real flow would look at a much higher Re. Hence, an experienced fluid dynamicist, knowing what the flow should look like, can adjust Re in Flow Illustrator until the video looks just right. (My emphasis)
Or simply play with the parameters and have fun."
I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has played with this sort of thing as whether is could be useful, or any tips on how to get the most out of it. Or is it just for fun?

The plot is two dimensional. So it should give one a rough idea of what the longitudinal flow over the centerline of the car looks like. Towards the edges though, flow is interacting with the sides of the car and rarely axial. Still, fun to play with.

The wake behind the car will be pretty inaccurate unless the car in question really does have a full flat bottom, but still a fun thing to play with.

yea it's hard to adjust for low hanging bolts, exhaust, ect... . I play a lot with the apple app "wind tunnel" it's just a Pain to draw a car with your finger on a tiny screen.
