Default SCCA questions

Hello,

Registering for my first event on the 8th of Jan. I have the following mods, Racingbeat Header, coilovers, CAI. I was going to install a megasquirt but that plan is on holds. Without the MS, am i still in N(novice)STR or will my class change?
My tires are Falken SN211 185/60/14. The UTQG shows the treadwear as 720...That seems awfully high so am I misreading it? I know the SCCA min. is 200.

If any of you guys are in the houston region, hope to see you there

Looks like you're asking about the Auto-x at the Police Academy. I'm not up on the STR rules but considering that it is your first time, it really does not matter what class you will be in. Just try to enjoy the experience and learn from it. And your Falken SN211 tires really do have a UTQG of 720 and come with an 80K mile warranty.

SCCA site: https://www.scca.com/pages/solo-cars-and-rules
STR limits UTGQ to 200

Yes, your car is STR legal based on those mods.

If your car is a non-torsen NA (1990-1997), you would be in STS. Otherwise, you're in STR.
