squeezing on 275/35/15's for autox
2 Attachment(s)
I'm planning to run this weekend's Blytheville Prosolo in SSM with my Miata Snoball. We cut the fenders and flared them, but the 15x10 Jongbloed's with 275/35/15 Hoosiers appear to rub on a ridge on the firewall, rear most area of the wheel well. We have tried both 5mm & 10mm spacers.
Do I just beat that back with a BFH (big friggin hammer) or am I missing something? https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1425326171 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1425326171 |
How much caster?
|
I think both the front and rear adjusters are maxed for camber, so caster isn't maxed.

It actually looks like the crease where the wires come out of hitting. The ride height is closer to 4", so I'll raise it.

You need more back spacing, not less. A spacer is just making it worse.

There were two offsets available for the 15x10. 15 and 36 I believe.
You probably have the 15, and Miatas need the 36. |

^ yep ~20mm offset works. no room to diviate eather way by more than ~5mm.

But you cant make that room in street mod. lower offset requires moving the firewall a lot more than you can with a hammer, and higher offset just runs into parts of the chassis we cant cut.
