Default Supermiata S1 build - Vegas

Since we're starting this build from scratch, and it's for a spec class, we thought we might as well share all the info as we go. Every Miata we and our employees have has a nickname. We bought this filthy, non-running but straight and complete 122k '02 as our donor. We were handed the sole key with a cheesy fob, a big diecast chrome "VEGAS" with pink rhinestones. Done.

The car is being built for Supermiata S1 w2w racing class. Learn more about S1 here

We want to leave the door open for possible crossover into NASA ST2, ST3 and maybe even T25 somewhere down the road. To that end we're swapping in an NB1 tank which is easier to fit a oversize vent into than the NB2. We're done stripping it, now it's off to TC Design in Campbell, CA for a long list of things. I have some ideas on the graphics revolving around orange and metallic silver vinyl in swoopy curves that follow some of the body lines. It will be a while for the next update while TC is doing their thing.

TC Design stuff:
Cage w/ integrated hard top mounts
Seam Welding
Seat brackets
Center console
Mount for Aim dash on column
Window net install
Ballast mounts in pax floor
Adjustable height steering column
Intercooler mounts
Radiator and I/C ducting
Oil cooler mount and ducting (Setrab 930)
Wing mount with quick release
Driver side engine bay/fender vent
Install Aerocatches

1" Wilwood master cylinder with prototype Supermiata mounting kit
Supermiata Prop valve kit
Supermiata prototype 3D printed 3" brake ducts

I'm so glad I wasted my money, time and frustration on the M-Tuned kit. Something better is coming out.

Do any of your close friends ever tell you you're a very negative person?

Follow the links in the OP. Air dam and 4" splitter, nothing exotic.

See the squaretop on the list, are you still working on your own intake manifold?
