Thinking about changing Koni/GC to Xida CS. Thoughts?

The question is, can it handle T11 at H2R?

Basically, if you have the money to do it, you'd be a fool not to. My shocks are great and the Xidas do everything better. I probably should have waited 6-months to get the Xidas, but whatever. When it comes time to rebuild them, I'm just going to order Xidas and probably keep these shocks as spares or something.
You will not regret buying them at all. They changed the way my car drove. What was once white-knuckle scary stuff, is boring now.

You should get together (cross swords) with Jeff and come to Dallas for a day of dyno tuning. I can also probably come to Austin and tune on a mutually convenient weekend if you want to use Steve's dyno.
I went from 60k mile stock shocks to Moton Club Sports on my S2000 and noticed a world of a difference. I just wasn't sure what differences I would see going from Koni to AST.
I probably won't be competing in NASA TT nationally for a while since I'm working on SCCA Solo II stuff nationally. I was hoping I could build a car to chase you in TTB or spoolin in TTA. I just need to find out if it's more fun to drive a turbo Miata than a track prepped s2k. If it's the Miata then it's time to upgrade the shocks.

An S2K with a stock-ish engine, 255 NT-01s, and aero is faster than me. I'd take the S2K...but that's probably because I have the Miata. At this point, the Miata is basically a vintage thing. We are slow, gay, and stupid.

That was the point I was trying to make. The Motons were leaps and bounds above stock (and the stock s2k suspension isn't all that bad, but yes, it's still stock). I was wanting to know if the Xidas were a step up enough from the Koni/GC to justify the cost. If they were only going to be marginally better then there's no point in spending the extra grand after selling the Koni/GC to warrant the upgrade. 
For some reason I find that hard to believe. Are you talking about when you detune to TTB they're faster than you or is this compared to your full-power tune? It would be fun to build a TTC s2k but insurance would be hell having 2 in the garage.

I drove one at an autocross once - you turn, and the car rotates, and then you add power to settle the rear end, and it both rotates and accelerates the car in a way I've never experienced before. They are silly fast.
A competent driver can get into a 100% bone stock S2000 (stock tires) and go faster than a Spec Miata at any track in the country.
While I agree that S2k's are quick, they aren't some holy grail or anything. They have their problems too. For one, they don't make much torque. Their handling can also be very twitchy depending on how they are setup. I beat a bunch of very good drivers in s2k's all last year in autocross with my 370Z, and I'm not a great driver by any stretch of the imagination.
Miatas are simple, cheap, and relatively well setup for track duty from the factory. Thats hard to beat (although most of us here have eliminated both the simple and cheap part)

Handy Man, the 370Z is a weapon. They are unbelievably competent track cars. It should be about as easy for a 370Z to beat an S2000, as it is for a S2000 to beat a Miata.

If you switched to an S2000 you may then realize a Corvette is faster and need to move up again. Each level you go up, so do the expenses! A set of RE-11 Bridgestones ran me $1500 for the C6. My RS3s are what $500.
