This is an interesting point. It would be a great sticky if we could build a list of what parts you can expect to need and what you will have to consider wear items on a track car at various power levels.

MAke the google-drive spreadsheet and I'll fill it in. Take some initiative, be all that you can be, in the MiataTurbo army.

That's a good idea, include things like how often you should change hubs and other wear items.

perhaps Ive not seen all boost juice threads but give him a break, he is building, or thinking abut building a car and wants to discuss max possible tire fitment. so what, why hate, just because it has taken years to get a reliable 250whp on the track. personally I think we can tell him what we think and then just drop it.

We hold ourselves to higher standards.

Do you guys think the ebay tubro kit will last 3 years of track events? Also, no one seems to run the 275 Nitto NT-555 tire, I think I'm going to try it. They're only $169/tire too!

I'm thinking about a rear-mount tubro once I'm done with the ebay kit, going with a smaller tubro so it won't lag as much with the extra long cooler-pipes I'll have to run.

k, thx

I assume this post is a joke.

Without reading this whole post I can tell you that we tested my F1000 open wheel race car (I know, completely different animal) we started with 8" fronts and 10" rears, but quickly moved to 6 & 8" tires b/c my lap times improved with less tire.

Wider is not always faster.
