That lotus can't be the right car. It did win SSP last year at nationals, but SSP =/= SSM.

I got a good look at Eric's car this weekend at the Wilmington Pro. His car is just ludicrous. There aren't even words to describe it really. It's just a monster. I was going to leave the site after my runs in group 3 on saturday and sunday to make my days a little shorter, but I had to go check out the SSM cars.

The red one is Ryan Johnson. super nice guy, good driver, Fast car but it is an SSP car. It's paxed right between SM and SSM. FWIW the NT events I have been at with Ryan I think I've been 1 or 2 seconds faster on the weekend.

SSM is the fastest class for anything resembling a normal street car SSP is second followed by SM.

No I had a bolt in hard dog roll bar and door bars. All that gets remove though when converted to an autocross car along with front strut bar rear sub frame brace/ Accusump etc. In track car mode it's right about 150 lbs. heavier. Car with no fuel in it weighs ~2110 in autocross mode. Minimum weight with the 2.0L displacement is 2080 I’m 30# over. I don't trust SCCA's scales to be closer than +- 20 lbs. I’d like to take more weight off the nose of the car though. A little secret, neither of these cars has the motor mounted exactly in the stock location.

You had just finished running and were in impound. I didn't want to bother you then. I'll be at the Toledo Pro next month, so I'll come around and find you then.
