Thanks for the warm welcome haters 
As I mentioned I bought my Miata right before the summer this year. So I've only owned the car a couple of months. Since I wanted to drive the car throughout the short Norwegian summer, I didn't have the time or cash to start working on the engine.
Yes, I actually have plans for the engine!
I'm planning to go with a turbo and not an LS swap due to super strict modification rules over here. But I suddenly doubt that it is worth my time posting my progress on this "super positive and welcoming forum"

@hornetball: Thanks! "We're not really an appearance/style group here" I was not aware that it was only engine and tuning, so I do apologize for sharing. As mentioned, I have been painting a bit more since the pics were taken

Oh wow a fender made from license plates. How unique, I've never seen anyone do that before. You must be such a special snowflake.

There's still a chance it can be saved. The paint job is cool, so if all of the hellastupid was removed and replaced with things that make the car faster/handle better than an '82 Oldsmobile with flat tires it would be a nice car.
Maybe OP is the one guy who will actually take a swagtasticjdmyo shitbox and turn it into something functional.
