Default Piper re grinds or standard cams.

Be just purchased a hks turbo kit for my 1.8.

My car currently runs these piper regrinds :

Products - Piper Cams - Europe’s leading manufacturer of performance camshafts

I have vernier pulleys and the car has been set up for NA use. I'm wondering if keeping these cams in for FI use is a good or bad idea?

I still have the standard cams so can swap them back in easily enough if there is no benefit of running the piper cams for FI.

But will they be good for it?

If they don't make it any better I can take them out and sell them.

I think they will be good, they should give you a little more top end without really negatively effecting the mid range. If they were in the 270 degree advertised duration range i would say to swap back to stock.

It gives an extra 19* duration, .024" lift, you can adjust with an adjustable intake cam gear. I'd say play with it as it's really a very mild change. Maybe do a before/after?
