It's more about the risk of thermal shock than risk from Scott's unique proclivities.

Honestly it's before the horizontal portion of the header, so it shouldn't collect much moisture, so I'll leave it for now, it's just not the first I've seen, and wondering if they're sticking with this location and why.

It easier to get access to, so it's got that going for it!

Its not on a horizontal portion of the pipework so its location doesnt matter.

has this location been an issue ? I also just received the same header for a NA 8 and was wondering if I should weld a new bung or just use this one.
