Car was a blast at 370hp. Super fun. Lasted only a short while though; could have been a fluke.

I'm excited to see what cutting 200lbs and having slightly less hp, but more torque down low does. No heat issues and no rinnging every last ounce of a motor. Just smooth, effortless, power. Ryan @ Singular has already proven it a record making formula

to be fair tho, his car has all of the aero. Emilio took 1st place in unlimited RWD with a built BP with the TSE 6258 kit at around 300whp.

Fair enough, high horsepower and good aero prove very effective on the track with the Miata.

LFX is complete and running.

Will upload some new pictures next week.

Just need to finish the exhaust and dyno tune with E85 next week, and final body work and paint the following.

Then it's track time

Exhaust, alignment, and new windshield are all done. Dyno tomorrow.

Here's how it weighs out. No driver, half tank of fuel. Was hoping for a hundred pounds less or so, but still should be fun.

Here are some pics from the last week of installing the body panels and mocking up for the vents:

Car has come a long way in the last couple months.

Solid first shakedown in June, had some issues with the motor getting too hot. Redid some ducting and hope all is better now. Fine tuning the alignment as well.

Wow, looks like you could fit a much wider tire as well.

Correct, that picture is with 15x8 wheels and 225/45/15. I have a set of 245/40/15's on 15x10's to try out at the track here in a couple days.

Hey man, congrats on getting this thing running. I'm just now getting back to looking through the forums again and saw I missed your question in my thread but glad you got it all sorted! You going to be at Laguna Seca this weekend?

2017 Ford Focus RS Stealth Grey. Wanted grigio telesto, but they couldn't do that as there was some pearl. This was MAACO's $499 paint special using urethane insead of the cheaper $299 enamel paint job. Should be a little more durable on track

Looks nice - course, I'm a little biased when it comes to gray miata (mine is audi nardo gray). For $500 though - that's a steal.

You guys sure do have a lot of gray Miatas. Even 949. Somebody's going to have to do stripes or something now.

Technically I painted my car after seeing hf-mx5t's build. We're just trying to take over the 2000SE master race.

Thank you for posting the picture of the belt routing without the ac and ps!

Any idea what the part number is for the standalone pulley you used and the belt?

It was a pulley/bearing/bolt kit that I bought from Shandelle @ V8R. Not sure if I'm 100% sold due to the low contact area on the water pump, but since re-doing my ducting water temp issues have been a thing of the past.
