Default Post your best album...up for masdebate.

but it’s surely up for debate...

Neu! '75

I love the bipolar nature of it.

Side A is super relaxing with it's soft tape loops, field recordings, and often ambient like style of Michael Rother.
Side B is a sudden shift into the proto punk anger of Klaus Dinger bitching about his GF leaving him to move back to Norway.

It's the result of a band that after 2 previous albums that influenced a lot of other musicians had pretty much started to get annoyed by each other.
Rother wanting to shift more towards ambient music, and Dinger wanting to move more into rock/punk.

The result was them basically saying "fine, we'll do side A in your style, and Side B in mine"

To me the juxtaposition just works so well, and it feels like a farewell letter.

One of my favorites I go back to all the time is Morning View by Incubus. Such a chill vibe throughout.
In a completely different genre, Metamodern Sounds in Country Music by Sturgill Simpson.

Maybe it's my age but Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd is an all time classic, from one side to the other.

like here is the latest single from one of the top:

Does anyone know how loaded he was
When he unloaded his gun?
Does anyone know how loaded he was
When the slaughter had begun?
Does anyone know how crazy he was?
Does anyone think he did it because
He thought humans were in season?
His brain had a lesion?
Is it worth it?
And didn't he have any reason?
Does anyone know what number of pint
He was planning to spill?
Does anyone think he may have been prescribed
The wrong happy pill?
Which got him to kill all the infidles
The intellectuals, the homosexuals
Even the red-neckxuals
Everything can start making sense
When it's (in)printed out of context
Does anyone know what made him decide
To unload his first round?
Do you think he cared what race or faith
For the victims he left for dead on the ground?
Does anyone know how Jewish he was?
Does anyone know how Buddish he was?
Does anyone know how if he's a Christian?
Had a pot to **** in (?)
Did he consider it a sin?
Did anyone go to church for the dead?
And asked in knee and pray
How can you believe in a God
And still carry a card of the NRA?
I thought religion is supposed to instill
A notion that is not right to kill
It must be a bitter pill
To admit that you are all mentally ill
Why do we have a hard time
When there's no enemy to blame
It doesn't matter how many were killed
The debate is the same
Is it alright to ... judge you for fun
Is it protection we need from the gun
The blame is always placed on someone
It's always how the story is spun
Only a lunatic
Would sell a lunatic a gun
certainly explains a thing or two???

My vagina has two sets of lips
But I don't get monthly blood drips
My vagina hardly even used

My vagina's got lots of extra skin
They took my outtie and made it an in
Changing Donnie to Marie Osmond

Operation successfull
But now I gotta pee
Through a miniature hole
Gotta remember to put the seat down
And when I wipe my ***
I go from front to back
Cause I don't want a bladder infection

I never thought I'd miss my vas deferans
I traded it in for a pair of huge cans
Now I get to hang with lesbians

Operation paid up front
Now I show all my friends
My new designer ----
They think I'm kinda weird
But that's OK with me
Cause now I kick their ***
Playing from the ladies tee
Theres nothing finer than having a vagina
