Looks like the car doubles as a GTA car though. Or its a second car.

 

Danny previously competed in Formula Drift - his operation is far from the 'zip-tied together, can't scrape up enough change to buy tires, thinks primer is a paint color' amateur drift stereotype

Car was just converted over for time attack, using the same big V8 as they had for FD but with a completely new/undeveloped suspension and aero package in time for Road Atlanta, and they placed 3rd. I see good things in their future in time attack.

The NC louvres look better on the NB than the NA/NB louvres IMO, they preserve the "hump" and look to curve around it naturally.

Can you please post a picture of the underside of an NA/NB bonnet/hood with these installed, I'd like to see how much underside bracing needs to be cut?

I assume it will be very similar to FrankB's NB with the NA/NB louvre cuts but could be moved a tad forward:

 

Ryan, have you done testing with the NC louvers on an NB?

I have a set of NB's yet to be installed but those NC look really good!

 

We haven't done any specific testing with the NC louvers in the NB, but placement is very good and we've applied all the same features in fin design, gurney flap, etc. so I expect very good performance.

I'll ping Johnny C to see if he can provide an under-side pic.

Have you considered some kind of cover/plug for street/track cars (outside of your desert down there) I've been trying to come up with a good way to do it and I can't come up with anything except a whole replacement louver that doesn't have actual holes.

 

Well the NA/NB louvers on that chassis and the NC louvers on the NC (I can't speak for the NC louvers on an NB) were designed/placed to not drip water onto anything in the engine bay that would be upset about it.

However, it is on the drawing board to take a look at options on that subject as we have a project coming up on a 2012 Camaro with a specific request for some type of rain blocker. Nothing on that subject yet though.

With the amount of rain we get up here its not just drips but it goes everywhere. Stuff like my turbo and EBC solenoid are under there. Its on my drawing board too and this is the closest thing I've found that I would consider acceptable.

Most turbos I've seen on BPs sit further back than any of our hood louvers.

 

Hmmm, I'll look again.

 

My ARTech EFR setup puts the turbo right under the louver. This is of course while I have a spare hood.

 

FrankB - I would move that air filter. That really goes for whether or not there was a hood vent right above it. The air is hot there.

 

What's your intake look like. I had trouble fitting mine anywhere else, I need some tighter radius tubing.
