Default Quik Latch on NA bumper

I'm doing a quick disconnect bumper/splitter setup. The hard to reach bolts on the NA were rusted out so need to do something. Thinking Quik Latch setup with a bracket like the attached picture where those hard to reach bolts are. I'll likely make my own bracket that spans both holes in that hard to reach area. Add another quik latch where 2 is on the attached picture. Then a splitter disconnect like Nine Lives or Kazespec and call it a day.

Thoughts?

I've seen it done a couple of times just using location 2 in your pic. The brackets had to be fabricated to reach though.

Interesting, didn't think it would be strong enough without something holding at 1.

Factory bracket was still used in the middle to bolt to the core support.

Maybe try to match body color; knock the rice factor down by a couple points

Don't use those rubber band ones unless you enjoy replacing the bands every year as they heatcycle, age, and crack.

I have an NB2 and there was already a hole near where #2 was and was able to use that for my Quik Latch. It took some playing around with it to get the length right as the angle is a bit off for the cup to attach. In order to release the bumper I have to press hard on the bumper and then it is able to release. The gap is off just a tiny bit but that is most likely due to where I drilled the hole in the bumper.

Wish I could find someone that did this for an NA so I can get a sense of the bracket they used. Ah well, I'll figure it out.
