I'm considering initially building my recent miata purchase towards TT5. It has the optional appearance pkg which as I read it eliminates the BTM Aero credit, is that correct?

And if that didn't the GV lip spoiler would, correct?

Which mean I might as well build a splitter and air dam?

 

Correct, factory option/accessory aero pieces disqualify use of the BTM modifier.

Also fun fact, you can't run a non-BTM lip spoiler on the trunk in conjunction with a wing. Greg says it counts as a second wing. So that factory-equipped 10mm high style part counts the same as an actual wing.

 

that is funny... plan was an alternate trunk cut for the wing so that's fine

 

GV lip would also ding you for the Splitter mod factor.

 

GV is installed with rivnuts and is easy on off... if I'm getting dinged for aero I'm doing it all.
