The time has come to purchase a vehicle with more than 2 seats that I need and so desperately do not want.
Mostly Sunday driven.
Details:2005 Mazda Mazdaspeed MX-5 -w- 64k MILES (and climbing)
Bought originally from West Virginia 6'ish years ago with 40k MILES with no accidents to import into with clear title into Canada. Now for sale in Canada still without accidents and clear title but can be easily exported again. Car is located in Fredericton, NB Canada. Stored in garage indoors and, of course, never winter driven as I don't have a death wish.
Body Suspension:
-BC Racing Coilover and Varrstoen 16x8 +0 Wheels with puny Nitto 205/40r16 tires...they stick surprisingly well all things considered.
-Bethania Garage Roll bar.
-FM hood risers
-BMW E90 Hood Latch conversion with safety catch. This allows the car to appear 100% OEM with hood closed. No holes in hood for safety catch.
Wiring:
Body harness is tucked inside fenders and engine harness(S&S Performance loom) goes through firewall near the back of intake to passenger foot well. Passenger airbag is removed and now houses the fuse panel and speed controller. All gauges on car work beautifully.
This was the most painful part of the build process to have this clean.
Drivetrain (huge breath in):
-L33 swapped (LS Style 5.3L Aluminum GM v8)
-BTR Stage 3 Camshaft, Dual BTR Valve Springs, trunniun kit upgrade, new GM performance lifters, 7.4" (yes I measured) Comp Cams hardened pushrods, All seals, gaskets replaced with new along the way.
-New CTSv Accessory drive -w- AC installed..lines do still need to be made for the AC but everything else is mounted.
I believe the exhaust is pacesetter block hugger headers 2" steel pipes going 2in 2out Magnaflow muffler. Nice sound thats not crazy loud.
I purchased the exhaust already made for 1100usd posted as stainless steel FM setup...I'm not sure if this is their original setup...but that is only what i was told so the above is what I know for sure.
Hardtop can be negotiated...it's not in perfect condition but does the trick perfectly.
