I am here yet again to peddle you a non-Miata vehicle. This time around it's my C55 AMG race car. We were planning to use it for endurance events, but plans have changed. It's on eBay with no reserve and the starting bid of $33,333, but I am willing to make a cash deal to move it quickly.


Originally built by HG Motorsports, this is a true gentlemen's racecar. Motor and transmission were built and tuned by RENNtech. Custom full cage by Technosquare.

This car is a real head-turner. Very unique build completed by top-notch builders.

The interior is comprised of Momo full-containment seats, Momo 6 point harnesses, and a fire suppression system. OEM AMG steering wheel and suede-covered dashboard, custom carbon fiber center console. The rest of the interior is racecar chic. The cage is exceptional and is equipped with a window net.

The car is equipped with KW V3 coilover system and Brembo 6-piston brakes. Aerodynamic elements include carbon fiber front splitter, carbon fiber rear diffuser, and an enormous carbon fiber APR wing.

Front bumper and fenders are off C55 Black Series for better aerodynamics and front wheel clearance.

I'm curious what the weight and horsepower numbers are.

 

No idea on either, actually. 450WHP has been mentioned a few times, but I've never put it on a dyno.

 

I've done one of those on an MS3. Turned out 580 crank hp with a pulley at 15psi on a Superflow dyno. 500whp is a very conservative estimate.

 

I think this one maxes out at 101kPa...

You're correct - it is naturally aspirated (with 12:1 pistons, worked head and intake manifold, etc). The exhaust is a custom piece. It sounds AMAZING, and that is an understatement.
