Default I know Jim B is taboo,but....

It came with the Greddy kit so I;m trying to make it work.

Questions:

1) Does the kit come with just 5 pipes?

2) Can someone post pics of the Jim b set-up? I;m having a hard time envisioning what pipe goes where on the HOT side. it doesnt seem to make sense to me.

3) Is the starion IC mounted central to the radiator, or it offset to one side?

From my memory, the hot side is nothing more than
turbo-->coupler-->U pipe-->coupler-->L pipe-->elbow coupler-->intercooler

You can look at my vbgarage pics and get the idea, though my setup is a little different.

ey what ever happened to that guy? Ive heard quite a bit of negative crap about him just wondering cuz it came with my car also and no one likes talking about him (even the people that own the IC pipes) any reason?

there's no reason to talk about him. he made crappy JB Welded pipes that had no quality & often had leaks in the ports where he "welded" them. They go under the radiator and use cheap heater hose for couplers. You pay too much fwiw, and have to wait at least 3-4 months before he might ship on out to you. In the meantime, someone with half a brain could figure out how to do it on there own.

********** no longer has info his kits.

After struggling to make **** fit for an hour, I gave up. I was wondering what was up with the gold "welds" that look like silly-puddy,haha. Since I don't have PS or AC anyways, I'm going to go with a custom Summit set-up......or a Stripes.

its definately offset towards the drivers side. also depends if u have power steering or ac. I ended up finding two flat metals bars around my house and bent them in a way to attached the bracket on the ic to any close bolt on the car. then get some zip ties and make sure it doesn't move back and forth....job done.



And word of advise, when you're under your car and you see a hole in the bell housing, don't jb weld it closed.

generally I'm against steering anyone to or from a product on the forum, but I make an exception for him.
it's not that he rips people off, but his product is just SO SO shitty I'd rather not see it discussed

well personally, i bought my starion kit with his pipes used, and while i did have to go to the local shop for customer fab'd replacement pipes, the layout wasn't too bad. its simple for a beginner, and i think once i get a new daily driver and better tools i'd probably route the piping through the wheel well like some others on this forum do. but i don't want to suggest one side over another, i stick with the sake of covenience and how costly it is.
