Default MK turbo 2 wastegate acuators

Hello everybody

I have purchased a complete MK turbo kit, waiting for pieces to come in and almost there!

( Should have the manifold, exhaust, Intercooler piping. Downpipe and some misc this week... then the hard part starts.

Looks like two different sets of brackets and two different Acuators

One thing I’ve always been confused about is the two actuators. I am very new to anything turbo related and was wondering why there are two actuators or am I mistaken?

Definitely know I will have some questions once this kit comes and I start getting to work on it...

I appreciate the help and thank you for welcoming me to the group!!!

Cost. It is 100% a cost issue.

It is more expensive to order the cast v-band outlet alone, and it has to come from China. If I order the v-band outlet with the extra wastegate and bracket it saves about $25 and has a 3-5 day shipment time to get to the customer. You can throw the longer silver wastegate and bracket in the trash. Along with the v-band flange and clamp that came with it. You will need the 5 bolts that came with it to bolt the v-band housing to the turbo.

The shorter gold wastegate is the one you will use. You will hook the vacuum line to the top port. You will also need 1 of the 3 brackets to bolt to the turbo. Yet again it's the easiest and cheapest way to get the one bracket that is needed.
