Has anyone put an EGT sensor in a Kraken EFR manifold? I'd like to, looking for input on whether just tapping the manifold is enough, or if a bung needs to be welded in. Has anyone had a cast manifold crack through an EGT hole? I've talked myself down from 4 sensors to 1, I want to make sure even the one isn't going to be more trouble than it's worth.

 

I tapped a 1/8npt hole into each runner (4 total) when I had his side mount manifolds with no issue. If you do decide to tape the holes, don't tap it too deep as npt fittings seal itself as you tighten.

 

What brand or model of EGT probe do people use?
