Hi everyone,
I bought a 6 speed gearbox and haven't installed it yet. When I turn the input shaft by hand, it feels a bit geary (in neutral and in gears)
When I do this on my old 5-speed gearbox, it feels buttery smooth.
is that normal?

 

When I upgraded mine it felt the same way. There's a finger trick where you put it in gear, spin the shaft, and try stopping it at the rear with your finger. If it doesn't stop it's good. I did this in every gear.
