Gents,

I removed some weight, mostly off the rear of the car, and mostly off the right corner. I took off my trailer hitch (10 ugly pounds), yanked out the carpet, and swapped out the full size battery for an ETX14. After adjusting the ride height with my weight in the car, there's a large difference in where the lower perch sits between the left and right shocks. At full droop, the right springs still have tension, but I can turn the perch by hand. On the left side, the helper spring is fully compressed, and the perch requires a wrench to turn.

I'm not racing or driving her on the street--she's an HPDE-only car, and I often have a student passenger. Is there anything I should do to the right side to compensate for the lighter weight/perch height differences?

I would imagine corner weight is more important then ride height specifically.

Maybe you need a good race shop with a set of scales to get it dialed in?

 

Stack bags of cat litter in the seats to simulate the weight of two people in the car and check things then.
