Hey, I recently got an MS3 PNP and put it in my '04 MSM that only has the FM Little Enchilada on it. I went and had it tuned and everything is working pretty well but idle oscillations when the fan comes on. The only thing I can think of is the fan idle up starts fighting with the target rpm timing correction with maybe a little AFR correction thrown in?? Only other thing I noticed is the Braineack's tune his idle up duty% is something around 1.2% and mine is 3.5% which came from the base DIYAututune tune. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Attached a log and one of the idle oscillations starts at the 726 second mark. Also attached my current tune. As a side note I'm at altitude so my AFRs might look a little funny at 80+ kpa because rows are moved down a little from what would be expected at sea level.

Looks like it only really oscillates 3 to 4 times before settling out so not as big of a deal but it would still be nice to solve if anyone has ideas.

 

My idle drifts around a good bit from ac and fans but also wipers and headlights. Same 04 msm on ms3pro. While annoying, the oscillation seems to be the same for all the cars I know of. Some worse than others but nearly all will search for idle once the engine idle load changes more than a few percent. If mine just swept around a few times when the fans were on I would be stoked to be honest. Stand alone life...
