I almost wrote it off as another cheap eBay/china flywheel, but…

I picked one up. Seems to be of decent quality!


Nicely machined. Threads are all clean for the pressure plate. Even came with new pressure plate hardware

My biggest worry was pilot bearing fitment. Glad that it seated nicely with an appropriate amount of pressure to install

I'll let you know if I have any vibration or clutch chatter. I'm using a Centerforce Dual Friction disc and pressure plate good for 290ft/lbs. So far, I'd recommend one!

 

Any updates on how that flywheel is doing? I'm thinking about picking one up myself.

 

So far so good! Installed it with a Centerforce (same spec as SuperMiata) clutch. Only have about 500 miles on it, but it's performing very well. I've given it a few hard pulls with about 185ft/lbs of torque and 240whp, no slip, no chatter, and rev matches nicely.

I had concerns about daily drivability with the lightweight flywheel. Zero issues here.

 

Did you by chance eventually pick one up for yourself ?
