I am building a megasquirt 2 DIY v3.0 to put into my '96 Miata. Will be using an AEM WB and GM IAT and removing the MAF sensor.
I am following the build guide from ms-extra (Assembly Guide - MegaSquirt(R) V3.0 Main Board).
When I got to the ignition section I built both the Hall/Optical and VR circuits and jumped to optical. Is this correct? Not sure which I should be using
Also is there any additional mods I should / have to do that differ from this guide.

Follow up: should I install the high-current ignition driver circuit (step #65 in the link) and the PWM flyback damping circuit (step #69)
