Speedtek lockout shifter/dog-engagement gearset
Is it designed to lock you out of reverse? Cause with a 6sp you’d really have to try to accidentally find the reverse gate. On a 5sp, the NB boxes already have a 5-->R lockout built into them.
Neat bit of kit but I kinda fail to see the point unless you really have to have one for your NA 5sp. But it’ll probably cost as much as buying an NB gearbox lol.

It looks an awful lot like existing shifters from CAE, IRP, and others.
I did a poor-man's reverse-lockout on my IRP, details here: https://www.miataturbo.net/build-thr...7/#post1638215
It wasn't so much that I was getting reverse as I was somehow going to the right of the 5-6 gate into some phantom no-mans-land;
Right now, it's a pretty picture in a Facebook post. As demonstrated by the well-known issues on the IRP piece, and many other vendors in the automotive world, there's a world of difference between a Fusion 360 model, a prototype, and a reliable production part.
The dog-engagement gearset is theoretically interesting, but it would solve a problem that isn't exactly pervasive.

I was looking at that post as well. I was more interested to hear that they were making the gearset than the shifters. Between these guys and Neat, Aus is making some interesting parts for our transmissions. I'll be interested to see pricing on this gearset, but I assume it'll be more than I want to pay.
