99NB MS3 r8 coils no signal??? Electrical Gremlins
I been having a lot of trouble with the recent install of a ms3pnp pro and Flowforce r8 COPs. After installing the megasquirt and getting the initial setup done the car was only running on 2 cylinders (1-4) When I tested spark in TS I got nothing on 2/3. So i grabbed my multimeter to check for continuity from the coil harness to the ECU plug. this is where it gets weird.... I dont get any continunity on either the Brown/Yellow or brown wire, But the brown wire does give tone with the Blue/Red wire on the harness which is the ROOM Fuse. Now i did have to extend my leads on my meter so im not sure if my testing is flawed but how is the coils signal wire connected to a always hot source???
Ive spent so much time trouble shooting electrical problems with this car and i cannot figure this out at all. Been studying the wire diagrams and seraching for answers but nada. The PO did some awful hacking of wires in the car so its hard to even tell whats what. Im to the point of just running 2 fresh wires and repinning the ECU connector but that doesnt fix the underlying problem. ANY advice or help is welcomed
TIA
